ALM editions summary

ALM Edition Description
QC Community

Available for: on-premises only.

Provides a subset of ALM functionality

QC Express

Available for: on-premises only

Provides a subset of ALM functionality and is designed for simple and small projects that have up to 20 concurrent users.

QC Enterprise

Available for: both on-premises and SaaS

Provides a unified quality management platform that efficiently scales from a single project to multiple, enterprise-wide projects and releases. It enables mature quality practices, test automation, and advanced integrations and processes.

QC Team

Available for: SaaS only

The QC Team edition for SaaS offers the same set of features as the QC Enterprise edition for SaaS. However, the latter provides higher SaaS service levels.

ALM

Available for: both on-premises and SaaS

Provides a full set of ALM functionality. A unified platform for managing and automating processes, activities, and assets for building, testing, delivering, and maintaining applications. It includes modules for requirements, test, defect, and development management, and overall release and project planning. ALM helps organizations drive consistent processes, shared best-practices, and asset sharing across projects.

  1. Business Process Testing relies on the integration between ALM and UFT One. To use it, you need additional licenses — a BPT license for ALM and a license for UFT One.

  2. These integrations are subject to some limitations on SaaS. See OpenText SaaS service description for details, and contact OpenText for further questions.

  3. QC Team offering does not include a OpenText Connect instance hosted in SaaS. Set up your own OpenText Connect instance, or purchase SA-AC010 to get an instance hosted in OpenText SaaS.
