Manage timeslots

This page enables you to reserve maintenance timeslots, and manage all reserved timeslots in the project.

Create a maintenance timeslot

  1. Prerequisites

Make sure that Performance Center is up and running properly and that your testing hosts are all registered and available.

  2. In Performance Center Administration, select Maintenance > Timeslots. On the Timeslots toolbar, click  New Timeslot.

  3. Enter a name, duration, and start or end time for the timeslot.

Note: A maintenance timeslot can be reserved for a minimum of 15 minutes and maximum of 480 hours (20 days).

  4. Select hosts for the maintenance timeslot.

    1. Click  Add/Edit Hosts, and select hosts.

    2. Click OK. The system checks the availability of the requested hosts for the selected timeslot, and displays the results on the resource availability timeline. Availability for the selected hosts is indicated as follows:

If the timeslot cannot be reserved, consider the reasons when reselecting your hosts.

To remove a selected host from the lists of requested hosts, click Remove.

Note: If a host that you are trying to reserve for maintenance is reserved for another timeslot that has not yet started, and you cannot delay the maintenance task, first consult with the user who reserved the other timeslot. If he/she agrees, move the start time of the other timeslot, or delete it accordingly. Only the start time of a future timeslot can be changed.

    3. If the timeslot can be reserved, click Create to save the timeslot.

  5. Performance Center performs the maintenance work during the timeslot.
