Edit Table Parameter Dialog Box

This dialog box enables you to modify table values for parameters created during the Learn process. The table parameter definition includes the table structure and default values.

To access

You can access the Edit Table Parameter dialog box on the component, flow, test, or test set level.

  • Component, flow, test levels: When setting default values for parameters in a Parameters tab in the Test Plan module, the table parameter default value is displayed as [Table Data]. Click this link to open the Edit Table Parameter dialog box in Fixed Value view.
  • Iteration levels: When setting default values for parameters in an Iterations dialog box in the Test Plan module, the table parameter default value is displayed as [<table_name>]. Click this link to open the Edit Table Parameter dialog box in Flow/Test Parameter view.
  • Test set level: When setting values for iterations in the Test Lab module’s Execution Grid, click the Iterations link for the relevant test set. In the Iterations dialog box, the table parameter iteration value is displayed as [Table Data]. Click this link to open the Edit Table Parameter dialog box in Fixed Value view.
Important information
  • This dialog box is only available for BPT Packaged Apps Kit users, and only available for learned components that contain app-specific table parameters.

User interface elements are described below (unlabeled elements are shown in angle brackets):

UI Element (A-Z) Description
Fixed Values view

Enables you to enter fixed values into the cells to the table parameter in a grid format.

Flow/Test Parameter view

Enables you to select a different table parameter instead of the current one (provided the table parameter is at the flow or test level).

Fixed value

Displays the Fixed Values view.

Available when: Accessing the Edit Table Parameter dialog box via an iterations dialog box in the Test Plan module.

Flow parameter

Displays the Flow/Test Parameter view, enabling you to select a different flow table parameter.

Available when: Accessing the Edit Table Parameter dialog box via an iterations dialog box in the Test Plan module.

Test parameter

Displays the Flow/Test Parameter view, enabling you to select a different test table parameter.

Available when: Accessing the Edit Table Parameter dialog box via an iterations dialog box in the Test Plan module.

Add Row

Adds a row to the table parameter grid. The row is added below the row in which the cursor is currently located. If the cursor is not in any row, the row is added at the end.

Delete Row

Deletes the selected row from the table parameter grid.

Add Column

Adds a column to the table parameter grid. The column is added to the right of the column in which the cursor is currently located. If the cursor is not in any column, the column is added at the end. Each column must have a unique header name.

Delete Column

Deletes the selected column from the table parameter grid.

Available in: Fixed Value view

Import

Imports a table parameter definition from a .csv file. Ensure that the file is in the proper format. Use the export option to generate the .csv file and then edit or add data as necessary. This ensures the proper format of the .csv file.

Export

Exports the table parameter definition to a .csv (comma separated values) file.

Available in: Fixed Value view

<column header row>

Enables renaming of columns. Double-click on the header to rename the column. Column names must match the column names in the supported business application environment application. Column headers cannot be blank or a duplicate of an existing column name. You can also use the index of a column with the # sign to name a column. For example, #3.

<table cell>

Enables editing of the default value for a table cell. Select the cell and enter the default value.
