Create a project by copying an existing project

This section describes how to create a project by copying an existing project.

Before you start

Before copying a project, consider the following points:

  • Version Control: If you copy a version control enabled project, the new project is created with version control enabled. Version history is also copied. Entities that are checked out in the source project are checked out in the new project. An administrator in the new project can undo those checkouts. For details, see the Micro Focus Application Lifecycle Management User Guide: How to Use Version Control.
  • The new project inherits the Unicode or ASCII definition of the copied project.
  • Test run details are not included in the Usage Reports in the copied project.

  • Timeslot information and project settings are not copied.

  • Result files associated with the original project are not copied.
