Output Options Dialog Box

This dialog box enables you to parameterize output values for a step using local or component parameters in the Output cell of a step. You can then use the output parameter value as an input value in a later step in the component, or in a later component or flow in the test.

To access
  1. In the Business Components module, select a component with Keyword GUI automation.

  2. Click the Automation tab.

  3. Click in an Output cell of a step that returns an output value.

  4. Click Specify parameter for output .

Important information
  • The default output type is Component parameter if at least one output parameter is defined in the business component Parameter tab. The default output name is the first output parameter from the Parameters tab of the Business Components module.
  • If no component parameter is defined, you must define one before you can use it to parameterize an output value. For details, see Work with parameters, iterations, and configurations.
