Web Runner

The following updates were added to Web Runner.

Manage test subjects and tests

The Test Plan tab was added in Web Runner. It enables you to manage a test plan tree of test subjects and tests.

Enable or disable Web Runner modules

Using Web Runner Admin, you can now enable or disable Dashboard, Test Plan, Test Lab, Defect, and defect editing at a project level.

Full support of defect filters

You can now filter defects by specified values of almost all defect fields.

Analysis and Dashboard

The following updates were added to the Analysis and Dashboard modules.

New graph types for defects

The following graph types were added for defects:

  • Cycle Time by Phase Graph: Create a Cycle Time by Phase graph to show how long defects remained in each phase. The graph also enables you to drill down to the cycle time of each phase, in order to identify bottlenecks.

  • Anomalies Graph: Create an Anomalies graph to show how many defects got stuck in a specific phase for a specified duration. For example, how many defects remained in the Open status for more than 5 working days.

Sort column charts

You can now sort column charts by X-axis or Y-axis values in an ascending or descending order.

Save data grids as CSV or HTML files

When you view a graph in the data grid layout, you can save the graph as a CSV or an HTML file.

Save dashboards as images

You can now save a dashboard as a JPEG or PNG file.

Microsoft Teams integration

A Microsoft Teams presence indicator is available on the left side of each user field in an entity form. Click the indicator to start a Teams chat with the entity link and general information included.

Site Administration

Site Administration is a new pure web application that consolidates site administration and SaaS add-on administration capabilities. It replaces the SaaS Add-on. For on-premises, it is in tech preview stage, accessible from the Tools menu of Site Administration.

Quality Insight incorporates Global Search and provides additional capabilities - it lets you create and manage KPI cards to measure how your team or organization progresses towards goals.

REST API

The following updates were added to ALM REST API.

New site admin REST API to assign user groups

Assign a user to the specified user groups by using the following Site Admin REST API:

PUT/qcbin/v2/sa/api/domains/{domain}/projects/{project}/users/{user}/groups

Send X-XSRF-TOKEN header with all requests

Starting from ALM 16.00, after getting authenticated, you should send the X-XSRF-TOKEN header in all your subsequent REST API calls, except for the ones that use the GET HTTP method. Otherwise, you cannot access ALM resources using ALM REST APIs.

SSO authentication

If local authentication is enabled for SSO authentication, local ALM users can reset their password by clicking the Forgot my password link in the ALM login page.

  • IP addresses for all users connected to ALM

  • Changes to workflow scripts

  • Entity relations
