Client MSI Generator

The Client MSI Generator enables you to generate MSI files for locally deploying desktop client components on workstations.

Enables you to install Client MSI Generator that generates MSI files.

You install the generator to generate your client package only when there are client file changes in the server. This includes new hotfixes, new extensions, and custom test types.
Standard client packages

Available from: 17.00

Enables you to directly use out-of-the-box standard MSI files to deploy client components, without installing the generator.

This is applicable when you are on a standard environment where there are no client file changes in the server.

  • Standard client packages. Run the MSI file to deploy client components locally without registering the components.

    For example, you can run the ALM_Client_Package_for_24.1.msi file to deploy client components of a standard 24.1 environment.

  • Standard client packages with registration. Run the MSI file to deploy client components locally and registers the components for 32-bit or 64-bit applications.

    For example, you can run the ALM_Client_Package_with_Registration_for_24.1-32bit.msi file to deploy client components of a standard 24.1 environment and register the components for 32-bit applications.
