Entity history
This topic describes how to view and clear entity history records.
Prerequisite
To view field changes made to an entity, the entity history should be enabled.

You can view a list of changes made to entity fields. In addition, you can view previous versions of entities stored in a particular baseline.
To view change history of an entity:

Open the entity and click the History tab or button.

To view previous versions of the entity stored in a particular baseline, click the Baselines tab.

Description
Baseline The name of the baseline in which the entity is stored.
Library The library for which the baseline was created.
Date The date the baseline was created.
Created By The name of the user who created the baseline.
Version The version number of the entity stored in the selected baseline.
Available in version control enabled projects only.
Opens a Details dialog box, displaying read-only details for the version of the entity stored in the selected baseline. Select an option on the sidebar to view additional information, such as Test Coverage and Attachments. The buttons displayed depend on the type of entity selected in the tree or grid.
Note: If you are viewing information for a OpenText Functional Testing GUI test, clicking the Test Script button opens the test in a OpenText Functional Testing viewer, enabling you to view the test or open the test in OpenText Functional Testing. For details, refer to the OpenText Functional Testing help.
Opens the Compare Entities dialog box, enabling you to compare two selected baseline versions. For details, see Compare Entities Dialog Box.
To compare two baseline versions, press the Ctrl key and select the versions. Then click the Compare button.
Description for selected baseline The description typed by the user when creating the baseline.

To view field changes made to the entity, click the Audit Log tab.
To view changes made to a specific field, from the Field box, select the target field.
The following information is displayed for each change:

Date and time of the change.

Source of the change, that is, where the change was made: Web Client, Desktop Client, or other client types.
Note:

The source of a change is available only when the SHOW_CLIENT_SOURCE parameter is set to Y.

If a client cannot be recognized, the source shows Unknown Client.

Name of the user who made the change.

Old and New values of the each changed field.
Note: In the Requirements module, the history of the Target Release and Target Cycle fields for a requirement is not recorded.

If your project enables version control, from the Versions tab, you can check out and check in the entity, and compare two versions of the entity.

Clear history
You can delete history data on demand.
To clear entity history:

On the masthead, click Tools
and select Clear History.
You must have the appropriate user permissions to clear history.

Specify the history you want to clear.
UI Element
Description
Entity The entity whose history you want to delete.
To delete history data from all entities, select All.
Field The field whose history you want to delete.
To delete history data from all fields in the selected entity, select All.
Until Date All data up to and including the selected date is deleted.
