Reset or update your password
When logging in to Site Administration, you can change your password or reset your password if you forgot it.
Reset your password
Reset your password when you forgot it.
To reset your password:

In the login window, click the Forgot My Password link. The Forgot My Password dialog box opens.
Note: The Forgot My Password link is unavailable in either of the following situations:

It is deactivated by the PASSWORD_RESET_DISABLE Site Configuration parameter. For details, see Set parameters at site level.

LDAP authentication is enabled. For details, seeDefine user authentication settings.

Specify the following information.
Field Description Login Name Enter your login username.
E-mail Address Enter you email address that receives the password reset message.
Enter the text below Enter the text displayed in the image under the field. -
Click OK.

In the received email, click the Reset your password link to set a new password.
Note: Click password reset link before it expires. Otherwise, you must click the Forgot Password link again to request a new link.
Available for 25.1 P1 and later: You do not have to enter your username when resetting your password. It's automatically filled in and read-only.

After you set a new password, the login window opens, enabling you to log in using your new password.
Note: As site admin, you can use the FROM_EMAIL_ADDRESS parameter to change the email address that sends the password. For details, see Set parameters at site level.
Change your password
Change you password, for example, when it no longer follows the password policy assigned to you.
To change your password:

In the login window, click the Change My Password link.

Specify the following information and click OK.
Field Description Login Name Enter your login username.
Current Password Enter your current password.
New Password Enter your new password which must follow the password policy assigned to you. Confirm New Password Reenter the new password.
