Reset your password
When logging in to Desktop Client, if you cannot remember your password, you can reset it and create a new one.
To reset your password:

In the login window, click the Forgot Password link. The Forgot Password dialog box opens.
Note: The Forgot Password link is unavailable in either of the following situations:

It is deactivated by the PASSWORD_RESET_DISABLE Site Configuration parameter. For details, see Set parameters at site level.

LDAP authentication is enabled. For details, see Define user authentication settings.

In the Login Name box, enter your user name. By default, the name entered in the login window is displayed.

Click OK. A message is sent to the email address assigned to your user name.

In the received email, click the Reset your password link to set a new password.
Available from 24.1 P1: The link opens in your web browser.
Available from 25.1 P1: You do not have to enter your username when resetting your password. It's automatically filled in and read-only.
Note: Click password reset link before it expires. Otherwise, you must click Forgot Password link again to request a new link.

After you set a new password, the login window opens, enabling you to log in using your new password.
Note: As site admin, you can use the FROM_EMAIL_ADDRESS parameter to change the email address that sends the password. For details, see Set parameters at site level.
