Customize settings

This topic describes how to fine-tune feature settings globally or specifically for a test run or a step in AI Codeless Testing.

Overview

AI Codeless Testing have features that enable more accurate and flexible object identification. You can customize feature settings to optimally identify objects in your application.

Currently, you can customize the following feature settings for all tests and steps or specifically for a test run or a step:

  • Automatic scrolling

    By default, when running a test, AI Codeless Testing automatically scrolls down twice.

  • Text recognition

    By default, when running a test, AI Codeless Testing automatically identifies texts in French, Russian, and English.

Configure global settings

Global settings apply to all tests and test steps.

To edit global settings

  1. In the upper right corner of AI Codeless Testing, click the down arrow near the gear icon and select Global settings.

    The Global Settings dialog box opens.

  2. In the Automatic Scrolling tab, set the scrolling direction and the maximum number of scrolls.

    You can clear the Automatic scrolling option to disable the automatic scrolling.

  3. In the Text Recognition tab, click Add Language button to add more OCR languages.

    You can delete existing OCR languages or drag and drop the language text boxes to change the recognition priority of different languages.

  4. For both settings, you can click REVERT TO DEFAULT SETTINGS on the bottom to revert to factory settings.

Note: The settings you configured remain when you close and start AI Codeless Testing again.

Configure settings for a specific test run

Customize settings for a specific test run to increase test success rate.

To edit settings for a test run

  1. In the upper right corner of the Editor, click the down arrow near the button.

  2. In the tooltip that opens, enable Override global settings for Scrolling Settings. Set the scrolling direction and the maximum number of scrolls.

    You can clear the Automatic scrolling option to disable the automatic scrolling for this test run.

  3. Enable Override global settings for OCR Languages. Click Add Language button to add more OCR languages.

    You can delete existing OCR languages or drag and drop the language text boxes to change the recognition priority of different languages.

Customize settings for a specific test step.

To edit settings for a test step

  1. Click the test step whose settings you want to edit.

  2. In the EDIT STEP tab, enable Override automatic scrolling settings and set the scrolling direction and the maximum number of scrolls.

    You can clear the Automatic scrolling option to disable the automatic scrolling for this test step.

    If you override the global scrolling settings for this step, the step is marked with a indicator.

  3. Enable Override OCR language settings, and click Add Language button to add more OCR languages.

    You can delete existing OCR languages or drag and drop the language text boxes to change the recognition priority of different languages.
