Install and upgrade
Connect is available for both on-premises and SaaS deployments.
The following section describes how to perform an on-premises installation and how to download and install individual connectors. The following sections also describe how to upgrade from an existing installation of Connect to latest version.
On-premises deployments of Connect allow you to work within your local network. However, with an on-premises deployment, you must periodically upgrade your local installation. The basic on-premises installation does not include any connectors. All connectors must be individually downloaded from Marketplace. Most connectors include all of the required dependencies—you do not need to manually install additional JAR dependencies. For details, see Install connectors.
For SaaS deployments, you receive tenant information at your initial registration and your software is automatically upgraded. However, the SaaS deployment is subject to limitations in scale and functionality. It is only available to customers that synchronize with other OpenText SaaS products.
