The Puppet plugin enables you to modify and list information about various Puppet Enterprise Console objects as part of your Deployment Automation processes. Some steps require user intervention when the process is running.
Puppet Enterprise is the automation software that enables you to automate repetitive tasks, deploy applications, and manage infrastructure.
Note: The Puppet plugin relies on the Rake API, which must be run using sudo. If your agent is not running as superuser, the process stops and asks for the superuser password, which the user running the process might not know. To avoid this situation, you can enable the Use Impersonation option to enter the superuser credentials. The step uses them to log in and successfully run the Puppet commands.
To use the plugin steps, open your process and navigate to Integration > Configuration Management > Puppet in the Tools pane.
This plugin has the following steps for you to add to processes:
- List Class Info Step
- List Group Info Step
