Query Package step

Use the Query Package step to query or search for ChangeMan ZMF change packages.

Required properties

You need to set the following required properties for the Query Package step:

Property Description
Name Enter a name for the step. By default, the system uses the command name.
Host Address Enter the TCP/IP host name or the LPAR number of the ChangeMan ZMF subsystem to connect to.
Port ID Enter the TCP/IP port ID for the ChangeMan ZMF subsystem to connect to.
User ID Specify a TSO user ID or SERNET/ChangeMan ZMF trusted user ID that can log in on behalf of other users.
Password Specify the corresponding TSO password or SERNET/ChangeMan ZMF password.
Package List Enter a list of package names, separated with semicolons (;). Use wildcards to mach multiple names.
Display Results Selection Dialog

Use this option to display details returned from the step in a dialog box upon a successful process run, which enables you to select specific information to use in subsequent process steps.

This option is selected by default. It is implicitly required because there is no way to select the information without it.

Hidden properties
Key Column Name for Selection This field is displayed only if you selected Display Results Selection Dialog. You typically use the default column name, package.

Optional properties

You can set the following optional properties for the Query Package step:

Property Description
Login as User ID Enter the user ID to access ChangeMan ZMF by the trusted user ID.
Login as Current DA User Select this option to access ChangeMan ZMF with the user that is currently logged in to Deployment Automation, even if another user is specified in the Login as User ID field.
Release Enter a list of release names, separated with semicolons (;). Use wildcards to mach multiple names.
Work Change Request Specify work change requests. You can used wildcards.
Requestor Dept Specify the requestor department.
Site Name Specify the ChangeMan ZMF installation site name.
Package Title Specify the title of the package.
Search for Simple Level Select this option to search for simple packages.
Search for Complex Level Select this option to search for complex packages.
Search for Super Level Select this option to search for super packages.
Search for Part Level Select this option to search for participating packages.
Search for Planned PermType Select this option to search for planned permanent packages.
Search for Planned TempType Select this option to search for planned temporary packages.
Search For Un-planned PermType Select this option to search for unplanned permanent packages.
Search For Un-planned TempType Select this option to search for unplanned temporary packages.
Search for Approved Status Select this option to search for approved packages.
Search for Backed Out Status Select this option to search for backed out packages.
Search for Baseline Status Select this option to search for baseline packages.
Search for Closed Status Select this option to search for closed packages.
Search for Deleted Status Select this option to search for deleted packages.

Requestor Name Specify the requestor name.
Requestor Phone Enter the requestor phone.
Complex Super Package Specify the complex or super package for which you want participating packages returned in the search results.
Creator Enter one or more user IDs of creators. Separate multiple user IDs with a semicolon (;). Use wildcards to mach multiple users.
Audit Return Code Specify the audit return code.
Search from Created Date Enter the Created date from which to search. Format: yyyy/mm/dd.
Search to Created Date Enter the Created date until which to search. Format: yyyy/mm/dd.
Search from Installed Date Enter the Installed date from which to search. Format: yyyy/mm/dd.
Search to Installed Date Enter the Installed date until which to search. Format: yyyy/mm/dd.
Search from Frozen Date Enter the Frozen date from which to search. Format: yyyy/mm/dd.
Search to Frozen Date Enter the Frozen date until which to search. Format: yyyy/mm/dd.
Search from Approved Date Enter the Approved date from which to search. Format: yyyy/mm/dd.
Search to Approved Date Enter the Approved date until which to search. Format: yyyy/mm/dd.
Search from Rejected Date Enter the Rejected date from which to search. Format: yyyy/mm/dd.

Last Promoter Enter the user ID of the last promoter.
Last Promotion Level Specify the last promotion level.
Last Promotion Name Specify the last promotion nickname.
Last Promotion Site Specify the last promotion site.
Search for Freeze Pending Select to search for packages that are pending to be frozen.
Search for Approval Pending Select to search for packages that are pending approval.
Search for Install Pending Select to search for packages that are pending installation.
Search for Revert Pending Select to search for packages that are pending to be reverted.
Search for Backout Pending Select to search for packages that are pending to be backed out.
Search for Post Approval Pending Select to search for packages pending post approval.
Search for Post Rejected Select to search for packages rejected in post approval.
Web Service Timeout Interval

Enter the time interval for the ChangeMan ZMF web service call, in minutes. The default interval is 5 minutes.

Note: If your requests time out, set a longer time interval. Use the timeout option together with filters to limit the amount of returned data.

Ignore Failure Select this option if you want the step to always be considered successful.
Working Directory

Enter an alternative absolute path to the working directory for the step.

To use the default working directory for the process, leave the field empty.

Post Processing Script

Select a custom post-processing script. To run the step's default script, leave the field empty.

To create your custom post-processing script, click Add , and enter script details in the Create Script dialog box.

A post-processing script helps ensure that expected results occur. It runs after a step finishes processing. For details, see Manage post-processing scripts.

Precondition Enter a JavaScript script to define a condition that must exist before the step can run. The condition resolves to true or false.
Use Impersonation Select this option if you want an agent to run the step as a different user. Specify the impersonation details for a Windows or UNIX/Linux agent, as described in Use impersonation to run processes.
Hint Add a comment to the step. To view the comment, point to the step in the design space.
