Deployment Detail report

The Deployment Detail report provides information about deployments that ran during a specified period of time.

Deployment Detail fields

Each report row in the Deployment Detail report represents a deployment that ran during the reporting period and matched the filter conditions. A report with default settings displays all deployments for the current month.

The following table describes the deployment detail fields.

Field Description
Application Name of the application that executed the deployment.
Environment Target environment of the deployment.
Date Date and time when the deployment was executed.
User Name of the user who performed the deployment.
Status

Final disposition of the deployment. Possible values are:

  • Success

  • Failure

  • Running

  • Scheduled

  • Approval Rejected

  • Awaiting Approval

Duration Amount of time the deployment ran. For a successful deployment, the value represents the amount of time taken to complete successfully. If deployment failed to start, no value is given. If a deployment started but failed to complete, the value represents the amount of time it ran before it failed or was canceled.
Action This field provides links to additional information about the deployment. The View Request link opens the Application Process Request pane. For details, see Manage applications.

Run the Deployment Detail report

You run the Deployment Detail report from the Deployment > Reports section.

To run a report:

  1. Navigate to Deployment > Reports and select Deployment Detail in the System Reports pane.
  2. In the Date Range field, specify the reporting period.

    Field Description
    Current, Prior Week Start day is either Sunday or Monday, depending on what is defined in your system.
    Current, Prior Month Start day is first day of the month.
    Current, Prior Quarter Quarters are bound by calendar year.
    Current, Prior Year Current year includes today's date.
    Custom Displays the Custom pop-up which enables you to pick an arbitrary start and end date.

    The start time is automatically set to 00:00 (24-hour clock) for the selected date in the reporting period.

    The end time is automatically set to 24:00 for the selected date.

  3. Set the following report filters:

    Field Description
    Application

    Only deployments ran by the selected application appear in the report.

    Select an application from the Application list. The default selection is Any.

    Environment Only deployments ran by the application selected from the Application list that also used this environment are displayed in the report. For the default application value, Any, you don't need to specify an environment. Otherwise, select the environment from the list.
    User Only deployments ran by the selected user appear in the report. The default value is Any.
    Status Only deployments with the selected status appear in the report. The default value is Any.
    Plugin

    Only deployments that used the selected plugin appear in the report. The default value is Any.

    Note: The Any option also includes deployments that did not use a plugin.

  4. Run the report.

    Click the Run button to apply your filter conditions to the data and produce the report.

By default, the deployments are sorted by application. To sort them by another field, click the column header.

Sample report

The following table provides examples of reports that you can generate using the Deployment Detail report:

Conditions Description
Show me: All failed deployments that occurred on July 4th during the previous year.
  • Application: Any.

  • Status: Failure.

  • Date Range: Select Custom and set the start and end dates to July 4th.

Show me: Deployments for an application that used a specific environment.
  • Application: Select the value from the list.

  • Environment: Select the environment from the list.

    When you select an application, the Environment field is displayed, where you select the environments defined for the application.

Show me: Failed deployments that used a specific plugin yesterday.
  • Status: Failure.

  • Plugin: Select the value from the list.

  • Date Range: Select Custom and set the start and end dates to the previous day.

Show me: My deployments that used a specific application during the past month.
  • Application: Select the value from the list.

  • User: Select your user ID.

  • Date Range: Select Prior Month.
