Manage pipelines

This section explains how to create and manage Deployment Automation pipelines. A pipeline is a predefined sequence of environments in which application process requests run.

Pipelines page

To work with pipelines, navigate to Management > Pipelines in the Deployment Automation user interface.

The following table describes what you can do on the Pipelines page.

Task Description
View details

View the following details about a pipeline:

  • Name and description
  • Date of creation
  • The user role that created the pipeline
  • The template the component uses, if any
  • The applications in which the pipeline is used.

For instructions on associating a pipeline with an application, see Add pipeline to application.

Filter

Filter pipelines:

  • By the owner: owned by you or owned by anybody.
  • By state, such as Active or Inactive.
Search Search pipelines by name, description, or user role.
Create To create a pipeline, click the Create button. For details, see Create and configure pipelines.
Import To import a pipeline, click the Import button. For details, see Import and export pipelines.
Edit To change the pipeline's name, description, and settings, click the Edit icon next to the pipeline.
Inactivate To deactivate a pipeline, click the Inactivate icon next to the pipeline.

To re-activate a pipeline, click the Show Inactive button, and then click the Activate icon next to the pipeline.
Export To export a pipeline, click the Export icon next to the pipeline. For details, see Import and export pipelines.

To add, remove, or rearrange environments in a pipeline, click the name of the pipeline. For details, see Create and configure pipelines.
