Shared spaces

UFT Mobile's shared spaces feature enables you to create multiple shared spaces (tenants) on a single OpenText Functional Testing Lab server. Settings can be configured globally across all tenants. Each tenant's data is isolated and is not visible to other tenants. This feature is useful for central IT, where separation may be required between different teams and products in an organization, or for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). Note that this feature is available only with an Enterprise, Ultimate or Trial license. For details, see Shared spaces.

AWS Device Farm integration

We've made it easier to set up the integration between OpenText Functional Testing Lab and the Amazon Device Farm, so that you can replay tests on-demand on real devices in the AWS Cloud. In addition, we've added support for iOS devices. For details, see AWS Device Farm integration.

Dev access IDE plugin

Easily connect devices in the OpenText Functional Testing Lab device lab to your IDE and remotely control them, using a new JetBrains plugin for Android devices and a new Mac app for iOS devices. The plugin provides a user-friendly interface for setting up the connection to OpenText Functional Testing Lab, and connecting to Lab devices. With the click of a button, developers can also switch back to their local devices. For details, see Dev Access.

Device health metrics

We've added additional device metrics such as temperature and WiFi connectivity, to help you ensure that a device is healthy and ready for running tests. To view this information, click the icon on the device card or above the device list, and select the METRICS tab. For details, see Manage devices.

Simplified iOS Agents signing

Signing and distributing of the iOS Agent apps is now easier and quicker. You no longer need to access the server to locate and download the Agent apps. Administrators can now easily view the status of the Agent apps, and manage them, from the OpenText Functional Testing Lab console.

If you have set up the packaging service, a new provisioning profile can now be uploaded directly from the OpenText Functional Testing Lab console and the Agent apps will be signed automatically. This is convenient if you need to change the provisioning profile when a new device is added to the provisioning list. For details, see Manage apps.

In addition, you can now distribute updated Agent apps to connectors from the UFT Mobile console, without having to manually copy them to all connectors, even when manually signing the Agent apps. For details, see Manage devices.
