Introducing the UFT family
The Micro Focus UFT family of integrated Functional Testing solutions enables customers to test earlier and faster by combining a breadth of technology support with AI-driven capabilities. This provides the speed and resiliency required to achieve automation at scale that is tightly integrated with an organization’s current DevOps toolchain.
UFT Mobile. Amplify team productivity with an enterprise-level, end-to-end lab of real mobile devices and emulators.
UFT Developer. Easily shift-left testing using standard programming languages, IDEs, and testing frameworks of choice.
UFT One. Accelerate test automation with one intelligent solution for web, mobile, API, RPA, and enterprise apps.
Shared spaces
UFT Mobile's shared spaces feature enables you to create multiple shared spaces (tenants) on a single OpenText Functional Testing Lab server. Settings can be configured globally across all tenants. Each tenant's data is isolated and is not visible to other tenants. This feature is useful for central IT, where separation may be required between different teams and products in an organization, or for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). Note that this feature is available only with an Enterprise, Ultimate or Trial license. For details, see Shared spaces.
AWS Device Farm integration
We've made it easier to set up the integration between OpenText Functional Testing Lab and the Amazon Device Farm, so that you can replay tests on-demand on real devices in the AWS Cloud. In addition, we've added support for iOS devices. For details, see AWS Device Farm integration.
Dev access IDE plugin
Easily connect devices in the OpenText Functional Testing Lab device lab to your IDE and remotely control them, using a new JetBrains plugin for Android devices and a new Mac app for iOS devices. The plugin provides a user-friendly interface for setting up the connection to OpenText Functional Testing Lab, and connecting to Lab devices. With the click of a button, developers can also switch back to their local devices. For details, see Dev Access.
Device health metrics
We've added additional device metrics such as temperature and WiFi connectivity, to help you ensure that a device is healthy and ready for running tests. To view this information, click the icon on the device card or above the device list, and select the METRICS tab. For details, see Manage devices.
Simplified iOS Agents signing
Signing and distributing of the iOS Agent apps is now easier and quicker. You no longer need to access the server to locate and download the Agent apps. Administrators can now easily view the status of the Agent apps, and manage them, from the OpenText Functional Testing Lab console.
If you have set up the packaging service, a new provisioning profile can now be uploaded directly from the OpenText Functional Testing Lab console and the Agent apps will be signed automatically. This is convenient if you need to change the provisioning profile when a new device is added to the provisioning list. For details, see Manage apps.
In addition, you can now distribute updated Agent apps to connectors from the UFT Mobile console, without having to manually copy them to all connectors, even when manually signing the Agent apps. For details, see Manage devices.
Hosted cloud devices
Extend your lab with the enhanced UFT Mobile hosted devices cloud lab. This enables you to interact with a larger selection of devices and achieve maximal device coverage, without having to deal with procuring, configuring, and maintaining all the devices needed for testing. For details, see the hosted devices datasheet.
High availability
The UFT Mobile server now supports active-passive high availability. For details, see High Availability support .
Other enhancements & updates
Mobile Center 3.3 includes the following enhancements:
Application Interactions |
Lab apps can now be uninstalled from a device independently of a testing session. Click Application interactions in the device control pane, select the app, and click Uninstall. For details, see Device access window |
iOS options |
We've added a new group of settings to the Administration settings, allowing administrators to enable options such as automatically dismissing system alerts, and preventing auto-lock across all iOS devices. For details, see iOS options. |
System information |
System information, viewable from the menu in the top right corner, now also includes patches installed on the server. |
Android Packaging |
A new administration setting allows you to enable packaged apps to use Android User Certificates. For details, see Android packaging service. |

Enhance your OpenText Functional Testing for Developers and Appium mobile scripts with REST API, NFC and Bluetooth simulation by Service Virtualization (SV).
The SV Lab is deployed as part of the installation of the OpenText Functional Testing Lab connector.
