Test results

On the Results tab, you can view the results of your tests from within the Lab console.

View test details

You can view summary details for your tests in the test results list. These details include the test duration and the testing tool used to run the test. Use the filter pane to focus on important information. You can also filter test results by the mobile app name, version, and build.

To view more test details:

  1. Select the test. The Details pane is displayed. This shows general information, device details, app information, and test session artifacts.

    For Appium and Selenium tests, you can view the test status: Passed; Failed; or Not Available. You can also filter the results list by test status or by text in the status comment. For more details on how to report test status, see Appium integration.

  2. View or download test artifacts if available.

    Video

    Video recording is available for manual, Appium, and Selenium tests.

    Click Play to view the video in the online player, or click the Download link to download the file.

    Admin users can see videos generated by all users. Regular users can see only their own videos.

    Note: To record, video recording must be enabled in Administration settings. For more details on the setting, see File storage settings in Administration settings. For video recording in Appium tests, see Appium Capabilities. For details recording Selenium tests, see Browser lab.

    Logs

    Logs for tests can be downloaded.

    • To include OpenText Functional Testing logs for a test, logs should be selected in Test Options. For more details, see Lab wizard.

    • For more details on how to enable downloading of Appium logs, see Appium integration.

    Metrics

    For Appium tests only.

    By default, device metrics are collected during the session. For details, see the collectMetrics capability in Appium Capabilities.

    For OpenText testing tools, device metrics are displayed in the device access window. For details, see Device access window. Select the device metrics to include in Test Options. For more details, see Lab wizard.

Delete test details

Admin users can delete one or more tests. Regular users can delete only their own tests. Test results are retained for the number of days specified in the Administration settings. For more details, see File Storage settings in Administration settings.

OpenText Core SDP: Test results are retained for 30 days.
