What's new in OpenText Functional Testing Lab
The 26.3 release includes new features and enhancements to browser and mobile testing.
macOS Cloud Browsers
Now you can also run your tests on Functional Testing Lab macOS cloud browsers. Supported browsers include Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. Cloud browsers help increase test coverage by enabling concurrent testing across multiple browsers and versions, without needing to maintain browser machines. For details, see Browser lab.
Android 17 support
Android 17 is now supported. For the complete list of supported operating systems and environments, see the Support matrix.
Appium v3 support
This release includes support for Appium's third major release. Functional Testing Lab now also includes an embedded Appium v3 server. Use the appiumVersion capability to run v3 tests. For more details, see Appium Capabilities.
Filter total counts
The total count is now displayed next to filter options enabling you to quickly see the number of matching items.
PostgreSQL 18 support
PostgreSQL 18 support is now as follows:
-
For new installations, the embedded PostgreSQL server is now version 18, and external PostgreSQL 18 databases are supported.
-
For upgraded installations, the existing database is retained and is not automatically upgraded to PostgreSQL 18.
