Create and manage request lists

Create request lists in the web client to group requests based on specified criteria. You can include both external and native requests in a list, and add or remove requests from existing lists, as needed.

Create a request list

To create request lists in the web client, you need no special privileges.

To create a request list:

  1. In the web client, select the Requests tab.

  2. In the toolbar, click Request Lists , and select Create List.

  3. In the New Request List dialog box, enter the following details:

    Field Description
    Request list ID Enter a name for the request list.
    Request(s)

    To include requests in the list, enter request IDs separated by commas.

    Or click the browse button to open the Selection wizard and select requests based on your search criteria.

    If you are using Dimensions CM requests, see Selection wizard for Dimensions CM requests.

    If you are using requests from other providers, see Select requests from different providers.

  4. Click OK.

To group selected requests into a request list:

  1. In the web client, select the Requests tab.

  2. Display a list of requests by expanding the appropriate node in the navigation pane, for example, Catalog or Inbox.

  3. In the content pane, select the requests you want to include in the list.

  4. In the toolbar, click Request Lists , and select Add to List. The Add to Request List dialog box opens, with selected requests listed in the Request(s) box.

  5. In the Request List ID field, enter a name for the request list.

  6. Click OK.

To view your request lists, in the Requests tab, expand the Favorites node in the navigation pane.

Edit a request list

You can add or remove requests in a request list.

To add requests to a request list:

  1. In the web client, select the Requests tab.

  2. In the toolbar, click Request Lists , and select Add to List. The Add to Request List dialog box opens.

  3. From the Request List ID list, select the request list you want to update.

  4. In the Request(s) box, enter the request IDs separated by commas. Or click the browse button to select requests.

    If you are using Dimensions CM requests, see Selection wizard for Dimensions CM requests.

    If you are using requests from other providers, see Select requests from different providers.

  5. Click OK.

To remove requests from a request list:

  1. In the web client, select the Requests tab.

  2. In the navigation pane, expand the Favorites node and select the request list from which you want to remove requests.

  3. In the content pane, select one or more requests to remove from the list.

  4. In the toolbar, click Request Lists , and select Remove from List.

  5. In the Remove from Request List dialog box, check your selection and click Yes.

Delete a request list

You can delete a request list only if you created it.

To delete a request list:

  1. In the web client, select the Requests tab.

  2. In the navigation pane, expand the Favorites node and select the request list to delete.

  3. In the toolbar, click Request Lists , and select Delete List.

  4. Click Yes to confirm.
