Attributes tab/page

Use the Attributes tab/page to set or change the user-defined attributes for items, requests, baselines, or projects/streams.

The displayed attributes depend on the following:

  • The type of request, item, or baseline.

  • The role section you select (the set of attributes that are relevant to a user with that role).

  • The object.

If you have selected more than one request, item, or baseline, the attributes do not show current values. Values you type or select are applied to all selected objects.

This tab is not displayed when you have selected more than one request, item, or baseline of different types.

Role Section

Select a role to filter the attributes displayed.

Attributes can be made role-specific in the Administration Console.


The user-defined attributes associated with the role.

Attributes in italics cannot be changed.

Attributes with a red exclamation mark  are required.

Attributes with a check mark  indicate a required field that you have completed or that Dimensions CM has populated automatically.


For each attribute, enter a value, or select one from the list, if present.

Move the cursor over an information icon  to view an attribute description.
