Description matching examples

The following are examples of how to specify search criteria for the detailed description or action descriptions.

• If you enter the expression:

  StartsWith%

  this finds all requests where the description starts with 'StartsWith'

• If you enter the expressions:

  word "search% phrase"

  "ExactPhrase"

  and you have selected Match any,

  this finds all requests with:

  • The description equal to ’word’

  or

  • The description starting with ’search’ and then some text that ends with ’phrase’

  or

  • The description equal to ’Exact Phrase’

• If you enter the expression:

  Text with /% Percent

  this finds all requests with a description equal to ’Text with % Percent’. (The percent character is escaped and therefore is not treated as a wildcard).
