Fetch a stream version to a local work area

You can use the following methods to refresh the contents of a local work area from a stream version:

Update: allows you to review, select, and merge changes before updating a work area.
Get: fetches the entire contents of a stream version (is quicker than Update).

Note: You can only update, or fetch, from a stream version that is later than the version in the work area.

To update a work area from a stream version:

Open the Changeset dialog box.
Rght-click the top level of a changeset and select Update from Stream Version.

The Update wizard appears. For details see Update work areas from streams.

To fetch a stream version to a work area:

Open the Changeset dialog box.
Right-click the top level of a changeset and select Get Stream Version.

The Get stream version dialog box appears.
In the Folder to contain items box, enter a path or click Browse and select a folder.
Select any of the options if applicable.
Click OK or Finish.
