This version of the Dimensions CM Connector works with requests. These can be any CM request type that has:
This connector requires at least build 26.1 of Micro Focus Connect and can be configured using the Micro Focus Connect UI.
The thesaurus.properties file should be copied to the Micro Focus Connect's AppData\data folder.
The following information contains notes regarding installation, but does not replace the entire process.
In order to use this connector, you will need to collect and enter this information in the Micro Focus Connect user interface:
dimensions-server.example.comQLARIUSDIM14. For MS SQL Server the DB Connection is the name of the ODBC Data Source for the database.CM_TYPICAL
The Dimensions CM Connector may take some time during each sync loop, gathering Requests for the synchronization. The amount of time taken will vary based upon the number of Requests and network conditions. Once the Connection is configured; the 'Run One Iteration' option can be used to determine the sync loop time, then adjust the Synchronization Frequency time accordingly.
The current version of the Dimensions CM connector can only detect relationship changes when there is an additional field that has changes. For example, if a user updates a task item to be associated with a specific story, the connector will not detect this change. However, if the user subsequently updates the story description, then both the description and the relationship change will be detected and synchronized.
When selecting a fallback user a message will state there are no users.
In addition to the fields that represent the Dimensions CM request's user-defined attributes (in the form Attribute Prompt [ATTR_ID]), you can also map these special fields:
Important: Request attribute names that begin with * (asterisk) are mandatory when creating requests and you must map them, for example, the SEVERITY attribute for CR requests.
Operations performed by the Dimensions CM Connector are audited (in Dimensions CM) as being performed by the user specified in the connection information. To ensure that the synchronization does not fail due to a lack of privileges, verify that this user has sufficient request privileges, for example, to perform operations in other users' inboxes.
Multi-valued attributes and attribute blocks are not supported.
