OpenText™ Functional Testing for Developers

Software Version: 26.3

This document, also known as a Product Availability Matrix (PAM), provides information on system requirements, certified and supported operating systems, technologies, and integrations.

These versions are recommended to be used with OpenText Functional Testing for Developers even if newer or older versions can work.
Using a version that has not been certified raises the risk of encountering issues. For more details or questions contact our support.

Hardware requirements

To successfully install and run OpenText Functional Testing for Developers, your computer must meet the minimum hardware requirements listed.

Performance may be improved by using a computer with the recommended system requirements.

The following hardware is required:

The Microsoft Visual C++ 2022 Redistributable is required before installing OpenText Functional Testing for Developers, included in the prerequisites installer.

This Microsoft Visual C++ 2022 Redistributable requires a Microsoft update:

         Tip: If the installation does not start due to missing KB files, troubleshoot by viewing the VC2022Prerequisite_yyyymmdd_XXXXXX.log file in the %TEMP% directory.

Additional

The following programs are required before installation. If they are not found, the installer will prompt you to install them.

  • .NET Framework 4.8
  • .NET 8.0.21 Desktop Runtime(x64)
  • .NET 8.0.21 Desktop Runtime(x86)
  • Microsoft Access database engine 2016 32-bit for OpenText Functional Testing API test execution with OpenText Functional Testing for Developers*

If you plan to use AI features, you need to install or enable the following components. These are not available with the OpenText Functional Testing for Developers installation files, and must be separately downloaded.

  • Microsoft Media Feature Pack
  • For Windows Server 2012 R2 and later, Microsoft Media Foundation

Node.js

Supported Node.js versions: 22.22.0 - 24.x

Java

Java JRE 1.8 or later.

IDE

For installing an IDE plugin see IDE section.

Note:
OpenText Functional Testing for Developers supports both IPv4 and IPv6.
* As Microsoft Access database engine 2016 is no longer supported by Microsoft, future versions of OpenText Functional Testing will not include it as part of the installation. If your Tests need to get data from an Access database or other format that requires this driver and you do not have Microsoft Office installed, you can download and install the Microsoft 365 Access Runtime, available online.
