Troubleshooting licenses

This section describes general troubleshooting and known issues for LoadRunner Professional licenses.

  • If the computer system time is earlier than the starting time of the license, the license will not be valid. To overcome this, generate the license with appropriate starting time or wait until the starting time of the license.

  • If you have a temporary license, contact your customer service representative to obtain a Time Limited license.

  • If LoadRunner Professional does not accept your license, make sure that the folder C:\ProgramData\Micro Focus\LoadRunner\data has Modify and Write access for all users.

  • If you receive a permission denied error message during Controller startup, you must grant Full Control permission for the Registry's HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE key as described below.

    To add registry permissions:

    1. Run regedit to modify the registry.

    2. Select the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE key.

    3. Select Security > Permissions.

    4. Add Full Control permission to the user that is running Controller.

    5. Click OK.
