GitHub Actions integration

LoadRunner Cloud has a new integration with GitHub Actions. You can use the action to run a load test and collect reports as part of a workflow.

Webex Teams push notifications

A new integration with Webex enables administrators to define events and indicate which Cisco Webex Teams spaces will be notified when LoadRunner Cloud real time events occur.

If you have already enabled the integration with MS Teams, you are now automatically provided with this option for Webex. Otherwise, you can enable both integrations by submitting a service request.

For details, see Events.

Extended MS Teams integration

The integration with Microsoft Teams has been extended to include a new Test run completion event. Administrators can define this event to trigger a push notification to a Microsoft Teams channel on completion of a test run with one of the following statuses: Passed, Failed, Stopped, Halted, or Aborted.

For details, see Events.

Upgraded support for SiteScope

LoadRunner Cloud now supports SiteScope on-premises monitor version 2021.11.

For more details, see Support Matrix.

Enhanced Java support

Java scripts can now be run over Linux Docker based on-premises load generators.

For details, see On-premises load generators - Linux Docker.

Support for Kafka

This release introduces the new Kafka protocol, used to emulate Apache Kafka events. Kafka communications are particularly useful when working with microservices.

The Kafka protocol provides Kafka scripting capabilities in the Java language. You can use the Kafka APIs to manually create your script, then add the script to a load test in LoadRunner Cloud. The run results provide statistics on events for producers and consumers.

For details, see Kafka metrics.

Extended RTS support for DevWeb

For newly uploaded DevWeb scripts in LoadRunner Cloud, you can now view and edit all the runtime settings that are supported by VuGen.

For details, see DevWeb runtime settings in the VuGen Help Center.

Enhanced support for Azure cloud load generators

The option to run a test with multiple IP addresses on each cloud-based load generator is now also supported in the Azure cloud. If you have already enabled the multiple IP addresses option in AWS, you are now automatically provided with this option in Azure. Otherwise, you can enable this option in both AWS and Azure by submitting a service request.

Working with multiple IP addresses is the same for both Azure and AWS load generators.

For more details, see Enable multiple IPs for cloud and on-premises load generators.

VuGen authentication using Access keys

You can now use your LoadRunner Cloud’s API Access keys to authenticate directly with LoadRunner Cloud from VuGen, instead of authenticating with a password.

For details, see Integration with LoadRunner Cloud in the VuGen Help Center.

New public API operations

New capabilities have been added to the LoadRunner Cloud public API that enable you to:

  • Manage the LoadRunner Cloud Streaming agent.

  • Manage projects and allocations of licenses using the public API (for administrators).

For details, see Public API.

Extended silent installation for OPLGs

You can now perform a silent configuration of an OPLG as part of a silent installation by utilizing a YAML file that contains several configuration options.

For details, see Perform a silent OPLG installation.

Enhanced License Summary report

The License Summary report, available to administrators in the Project Management > License > Summary tab, is now split into two sections that can be expanded and collapsed. The Available section includes licenses that have not yet expired or that have not been fully consumed. The Inactive section includes expired or fully utilized licenses.

For more details, see License allocation.

Enhanced high availability for runtime control components

Runtime control components (RTC) are now supported in multiple AWS regions, providing redundancy in cases of availability issues in a region hosting RTC. LoadRunner Cloud can be configured to use an alternative region for RTC if necessary. Should you use Dedicated IPs for RTC when using on-premises load generators, you can request additional IPs from an alternative region as backup.

For more details, see Dedicated IP addresses.
