OpenText Core Performance Engineering Aviator
This section explains how to integrate OpenText Core Performance Engineering Aviator with OpenText Performance Engineering solutions.

Overview
OpenText Core Performance Engineering Aviator is a cloud-based enterprise service that delivers Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities to extend functionality in OpenText Performance Engineering products connected to this paid service.
Supported Performance Engineering products
Core Performance Engineering Aviator can be used with the following SaaS and On-Premises products.

Core Performance Engineering Aviator provides scripting support for these products through VuGen and automated, AI‑assisted analysis through Core Performance Engineering Analysis.
Performance Engineering products do not include Generative AI capabilities by default. To enable Generative AI through Core Performance Engineering Aviator, a license must be purchased and installed. Without this license, the products will not communicate with the AI service and will not send it any data. For details, see Subscription and license management.

Subscription and license management
Core Performance Engineering Aviator is licensed as a cloud service, and all licenses are managed centrally in MyAccount.

Use MyAccount to submit a service request to obtain a license usage report.
Integrate with Core Performance Engineering Aviator
Core Performance Engineering Aviator is delivered as a service (SaaS) product. After subscribing to the Aviator cloud service, you can integrate your client instance with the Core Performance Engineering Aviator tenant.
Note: Only VuGen client instances require manual configuration and a client secret. Aviator for Core Performance Engineering Analysis works out-of-the-box without additional keys or steps.
To integrate with VuGen:

Purchase a Core Performance Engineering Aviator license.

Follow the instructions in the welcome email.

Sign in to MyAccount and select Aviator service.
To create an access key:
- Prerequisite. Ask your account admin to add you as a user in MyAccount. This is required to generate a client secret.

Sign in to MyAccount and select your Core Performance Engineering Aviator tenant.

Create an access key to authenticate VuGen with Core Performance Engineering Aviator. For details, see Create access keys.

Use the generated Client ID and Client Secret to authenticate VuGen with Core Performance Engineering Aviator. For configuration details, see the OpenText Virtual User Generator Help Center.
View AI usage consumption
AI query usage is tracked at the tenant level and reported through the Core Performance Engineering Platform. The AI Usage report provides aggregated visibility into AI query consumption across supported products.

What Large Language Model (LLM) is used by Core Performance Engineering Aviator?
Core Performance Engineering Aviator leverages Google Vertex AI, Google's managed platform for large language models (LLMs), to deliver Generative AI capabilities.
Is my data sent to the LLM vendor?
To generate responses or suggestions to your requests, certain relevant data (such as scripts, data files, or run results) may be sent to the LLM vendor.
Is my data saved by the LLM vendor?
Google, the LLM vendor, may temporarily cache inputs to improve performance and reduce latency for subsequent prompts. Cached data is typically retained for up to 24 hours. All data is transmitted to the LLM vendor in a stateless manner and is used only to generate responses. It is not used for model training or for any other purpose by Google.
Is my data saved by Core Performance Engineering Aviator?
Core Performance Engineering Aviator may retain chat history to support features such as returning to previous conversations. This information is used only to provide a consistent user experience.
Is data sent to the LLM vendor leaving the continent/region?
Where technically possible, the Google service used will be in the same region as the main Core Performance Engineering Aviator service, as described in the table below. For more details, see the Google documentation.

What security measures are taken to ensure personal information cannot be extracted?
Personal information such as emails and names might be sent as part of the prompt. However, it is not stored by the LLM vendor and is used only as part of the current transaction.
What security measures are taken to ensure unsafe content is not processed or returned as part of Core Performance Engineering Aviator responses?

Do Performance Engineering products include Generative AI capabilities out of the box? Is Core Performance Engineering Aviator enabled by default?
