AI-driven Performance Engineering

This release includes enhancements to the AI-powered, virtual assistant for OpenText Performance Engineering solutions and to MCP support.

Core Performance Engineering Aviator

Core Performance Engineering Aviator is a cloud‑based enterprise service that delivers artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. The service extends functionality within OpenText Performance Engineering products that are connected to the paid Aviator service. For details on supported client instances and integrating with Aviator, see OpenText Core Performance Engineering Platform in the OpenText Core Performance Engineering Help Center.

Aviator provides scripting support for Performance Engineering products through VuGen, and automated, AI-assisted analysis through Core Performance Engineering Analysis.

Aviator for Scripting

Aviator for Scripting in VuGen includes the following enhancements:

  • Ability to use single sign-on from your browser to complete Aviator authentication.

  • Ability to create new data files and add them under the script folder.

  • A descriptive summary of the parameters used in the script, provided on request.

  • Context-aware scripting assistance that can suggest next steps and relevant actions based on script content and execution context.

  • Advanced language model upgrade, enabling more detailed, accurate, and comprehensive responses.

  • Extended assistance with error logs for Java protocols.

  • AI assistance available in the TruClient 2.0 - Web JavaScript editor.

  • Stability and optimization improvements.

Aviator for Analysis

Ability to use predefined prompts and append results to the current conversation without losing context.

General Aviator updates

The following enhancements are now available for both Aviator for Scripting and Aviator for Analysis:

  • AI Usage report, available on the AI Usage page of the Core Performance Engineering Platform, providing aggregated visibility into AI query consumption across supported products. For details, see the OpenText Core Performance Engineering Help Center.

  • Chat management, enabling you to reopen, pin, and rename conversations in the history.

  • Improved functionality and responsiveness.

MCP support

MCP provides a standardized and secure way to leverage AI-driven natural-language prompts to streamline and automate performance engineering workflows.

MCP server for Enterprise Performance Engineering

The MCP server for Enterprise Performance Engineering includes the following enhancements:

  • You can use AI-assisted flows to create consolidated custom PDF reports by selecting report sections, choosing header inclusion, and adding related trend reports.

  • Trend reports and HTML report packages are downloaded in chunked mode to improve reliability for large report data. After downloading, AI clients can generate standalone HTML reports or custom reports using the original package.

  • AI-assisted workflows now include expanded test asset management actions for test sets and test set folders.

MCP server for DevWeb

The DevWeb MCP server includes the following enhancements:

  • Improved handling of the record, generate, and replay processes.

  • Expanded guidance for working with the MCP server workflows and processes.

  • Assistance with scripting.

  • Ability to identify high-confidence parameterization candidates, such as user names, passwords, and user identifiers (Beta feature).

  • Ability to create DevWeb scripts using Swagger API specifications, and to edit function parameters.

Cloud and SaaS

This release includes the following cloud and SaaS updates.

Startup scripts

Startup script support was extended to Azure cloud load generators on Windows and Linux, and to AWS cloud load generators on Linux.

Azure Resource Group configuration

Azure cloud hosts can now use predefined Resource Groups. This provides more granular access control by assigning the Service Principal Contributor role to the Resource Group level only.

Integrations and ecosystem

This release includes the following integrations and ecosystem updates.

Area Enhancement
Core Performance Engineering Analysis

This integration includes the following analysis enhancements:

  • Authentication updates: To stream performance test results, you must update access keys using the latest Core Performance Engineering Analysis version, regardless of the Enterprise Performance Engineering version in use. Streaming now uses user-specific credentials generated during run initialization. Admin credentials are used only for integration administration.

  • Synchronization visibility: Projects and users are automatically synchronized to Core Performance Engineering Analysis. Administrators can monitor synchronization status and view failures in Event Logs.

Harness plug-in

Added support for the Harness plug-in. It lets you run performance tests directly from a Harness CI/CD pipeline and synchronize workspace scripts by using the WorkspaceSync action.

GitHub action

GitHub action includes the following enhancements:

  • Direct workspace synchronization is supported for scripts without Jenkins.

  • Incremental workspace synchronization is supported from the last successful action build.

  • Triggering tests through GitHub Actions remains fully supported.

GitLab integration

GitLab integration includes the following enhancements:

  • Direct workspace synchronization is now supported for scripts without Jenkins.

  • Incremental workspace synchronization is supported from the last successful pipeline, with WorkspaceSync controls for base SHA selection and optional removal of deleted scripts.

Kubernetes integration

Kubernetes integration now supports persistent storage by mounting PersistentVolumeClaims (PVCs) for Linux and Windows load generators across on‑premises Kubernetes, AKS, and EKS environments.

This release includes the following modernization updates.

Enhanced user interface The new default UX theme provides an enhanced user experience with increased accessibility, a more consistent experience, and a cleaner, more modern look.
LDAP authentication

LDAP user management has been enhanced with improved validation, security, and logging.

Installation security

Installation security includes the following enhancements:

  • Password management was strengthened according to security best practices.

  • Service account setup was also improved to support secure credential management.

Virtual User Generator (VuGen) includes the following enhancements. For details, see the VuGen What's New.

Runtime settings The runtime settings are now using a new UX theme. This theme provides an enhanced user interface with increased accessibility, a more consistent experience, and a more modern look.
VTS

The Virtual Table Server includes the following updates:

  • Ability to search the VTS table using the Column name, by retrieving a range of values from the column.

  • Ability to use locally installed help with VTS.

  • Security fixes.

VuGen protocols include the following enhancements. For details, see the VuGen What's New.

Blazor - Web A new Blazor - Web protocol is available for recording and replaying Blazor applications with decoded SignalR MessagePack payloads.
Citrix ICA Support added for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and Citrix Workspace version 2507 LTSR.
DevWeb You can now specify an IP version to use during script execution, forcing the system to work with IPv4 or IPv6 only.
Kafka Code generation for Kafka now uses the simplified Builder pattern, replacing the XML raw deserialization that was used previously in the code.
LLM
  • Support for Anthropic model.

  • Support added for custom LLM models that are non-streaming, JSON-formatted, and include token counts.

  • Ability to configure cross-step execution, controlling whether the script waits for the LLM request to complete.

TruClient 2.0 - Web
  • If TruClient shuts down unexpectedly, you can recover a script from its last known state.

  • You can now call a Javascript function using a Generic API action step, and create a variable if needed.

  • Support added for two new client-side measurements, Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) and Interaction to Next Paint (INP).

  • AI assistance is now available in the JavaScript editor for code generation and code-fix suggestions.

  • Support added for speed simulation on Windows and Linux.

  • UI improvements for all code editors.

  • Security fixes.

TruClient - Web
  • Support for Chromium browser version 149.

  • Security fixes.

Web – HTTP/HTML
  • Enhanced web-recording performance

  • Improved recording performance and certificate creation when recording with proxy.

  • Non-blocking socket support.

  • Improved WebSocket recording.

OpenText Performance Engineering for Developers includes the following enhancements. For details, see the What's new.

Area Enhancement
Create scripts from Wireshark file You can now capture your network traffic using Wireshark, and use the output to generate a DevWeb script. Wireshark captures all types of HTTP traffic.
