This topic describes the tasks for initially setting up and configuring MBT.
Configure the CI system and test runner
To get started with MBT, you need to set up the following:
Install and configure the Micro Focus Jenkins plugin. This enables MBT to integrate with UFT One via Jenkins.
In MBT settings, enter your CI server definitions.
In MBT settings, define the MBT test runner. This enables MBT to run UFT One test scripts and activate the discovery job.
When you define a test runner, select MBT framework from the list of available test runners.
These steps are described in detail in the section Set up UFT One integration. Make sure to follow the instructions on integrating via Jenkins.
The MBT standalone is a subset of the ALM Octane interface.
In the Settings area, options and entities are displayed that do not apply to standalone MBT. The unused options and entities will be hidden in future releases.
For a list of the applicable options and entities, see Admin Notes.
