Add server exceptions

If your Mobile Center server is set up for secure communication, and your certificate is not signed by a trusted authority, to run your scripts over a secure connection, you need to add a server exception to each script.

Add a server exception to an individual script

  1. Open the TruClient General Settings dialog box.

  2. Click the Server Exceptions tab.

  3. In the Location field, after https:// enter your Mobile Center server and connector IP addresses and ports (IP:port), and click Get Certificate. For example, https://16.0.0.16:8080.

  4. Click Add exception.

  5. Save your script.

Add a global server exception (VuGen users only)

A global server exception will be applied to all scripts that you create after the exception has been added. However, scripts created prior to adding the exception, will not inherit the global exception. For these scripts, you must add the server exception manually.

  1. In VuGen, create a dummy script for the purpose adding the server exception.

  2. Select Tools > TruClient General Settings.

  3. in the TruClient General Settings dialog box, click the Encryption tab.

  4. Click View Certificates.

  5. On the Server tab , click Add Exception.

  6. In the Location field, after https:// enter your Mobile Center server and connector IP addresses and ports (IP:port), and click Get Certificate. For example, https://16.0.0.16:8080.

  7. To permanently store this exception, select Permanently store this exception, and click Confirm security exception.

  8. Close the script. You do not have to save the script.
