Highlights for Network Virtualization 9.13

NV Global Library

Starting from February 20, 2024, support for the NV Global Library (GL) service has been removed. This means that you will be unable to access the GL service from any version of LoadRunner, past or current.

NV Insights

The NV Insights report has a new and improved look and feel.

Emulation enhancements

Added support for tunneling (non-MITM) mode, which allows application traffic to be routed through Network Virtualization without analyzing HTTPS communication. You enable this functionality by clearing the Decrypt and analyze secure (SSL) communication option in NV Test Manager > Settings tab.

Linux

Added support for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES). For implementation details, see Installing NV Test Manager on Linux.

Help Center updates

  • The Network Virtualization help has been streamlined into an enhanced Help Center catering for all versions. Earlier versions of the help are no longer available.

  • We've updated our Help Center Home page with a new fresh look. Let us know what you think: Send Help Center Feedback.

What's new in Network Virtualization 9.12

Enhanced NV Analytics report

New comparison page. The Transaction Overview page displays a graph of multiple transactions over multiple network scenarios, and includes:

  • baseline marker
  • network impact analysis
  • performance score summary
  • filtering options

Enhanced resource analysis page. Enables quick isolation of resources with a significant network impact, and includes:

  • summary of resources by type
  • graphs of largest resources by size and download time
  • filtering options

Analytics rules update

  • A new ‘Optimize Caching’ rule was added for more accurate application performance analysis.

  • The “Avoid Large objects” rule was split to assign different weights to uploads and downloads.

Enhanced predefined network profiles

The set of out-of-the-box network profiles was enhanced and expanded, including updated mobile network profiles.

Other improvements

Performance improvements and bug fixes.
