Credentials

Some applications require credentials. OpenText Software Delivery Management can supply these credentials when calling these applications from a Trigger Webhook rule.

Add credentials

This section describes how to add credentials for spaces and workspaces.

To set up the credentials:

  1. Open the global menu and select Administration > General Settings.

  2. In the spaces sidebar, select a shared space or workspace.

  3. In the Credentials tab, click the + Credentials button.

  4. Enter a display name for the credentials.

  5. Do one of following:

    • Enter the user name and the password for accessing the application.

    • In the Password field, enter an API access token into the password field. In the User name field, you can enter a descriptive value, such as the associated Harness user or purpose.

  6. Click Add.

    When credentials are used, such as by Trigger webhook rules, IN USE is updated.

Delete credentials

This section describes how to remove the credentials for an obsolete user.

To delete credentials:

  1. Open the global menu and select Administration > General Settings.

  2. In the spaces sidebar, select a shared space or workspace.

  1. In the Credentials tab, select the row with the credentials you want to delete.

  2. View the IN USE column to verify that the credentials are not already in use . If you delete credentials that are in use, rules using these credentials will fail to run.

  3. Click the Delete Credentials button and then click Delete.
