Start the server

After defining your configuration settings, start OpenText Software Delivery Management.

Linux	Log in as the root user. Run: `systemctl start octane` To follow the server's boot process, run: `tail -f /opt/octane/log/wrapper.log`
Windows	Select Start > OpenText Software Delivery Management > Start OpenText Software Delivery Management Server. Alternatively, start the OpenText Software Delivery Management service.

Log in as the root user.
Run: systemctl start octane
To follow the server's boot process, run: tail -f /opt/octane/log/wrapper.log

Windows

Select Start > OpenText Software Delivery Management > Start OpenText Software Delivery Management Server.

Alternatively, start the OpenText Software Delivery Management service.

Verify installation

The installation is complete only when the "Server is ready!" message is shown in the wrapper log file.

If you do not see this message, correct the errors shown in the log.

Tip: When you first start using OpenText Software Delivery Management, you automatically receive a Trial license which gives you a 90-day trial for 100 users. For details, see Trial license.
