Dynatrace AppMon monitor

The Dynatrace AppMon monitor provides information on the availability and performance of software applications and the impact on user experience measured by Dynatrace AppMon, an APM (Application Performance Management) tool.

Note: This is referred to as the Dynatrace monitor in versions prior to Performance Center 12.63.

Dynatrace AppMon dashboards and dashlets

Using Dynatrace AppMon's dashboards and dashlets you can get insights into your full application stack, in the form of deep transaction tracing, synthetic monitoring, real user monitoring, and network monitoring.

A dashboard represents a specific view of one or more Dynatrace AppMon data sources. A dashboard is comprised of dashlets, the building blocks of a dashboard that contain specific types of data (in the form of a graph or data tables).

Note: Only dashlets that are represented as graphs in Dynatrace AppMon are available in Performance Center during the performance test run.

Set up the Dynatrace AppMon monitor

  1. Prerequisites

For the supported server versions, see the Integration with non-Micro Focus products section of the System Requirements.

  2. Configure the Dynatrace AppMon monitor from the monitor profile

    1. From the Performance Center navigation toolbar, click and select Monitors (under Assets).

    2. In the test resource tree, select an existing monitor profile, or click New Monitor Profile and create a new monitor profile.

    3. In the Monitor Profile page, click Add Monitor and select Dynatrace AppMon.
