Adding Attachments as References to a Request

  1. Log on to PPM.

  2. Open or create a request.

  3. From the Jump To navigation panel, click References.

  4. From the New Reference list, select Attachment.

  5. Click Add.

    The Add Document window opens.

  6. In the File field, type the name of the document file to attach as a reference.

    Caution: The name of the file you attach must not contain an apostrophe. If it does, a script error will occur the next time the request is opened.

  7. In the Author field, you can replace your name with the name of the attachment author.

  8. In the Description field, you can type a description of the attachment.

  9. In the Key Words field, type the key words for the attachment.

    Use key words to differentiate between multiple attachments and quickly find the target attachment.

    Note: This field appears only when Database DMS is in use.

  10. Click Add.

    On the request detail page, the References to be added on Save field lists the referenced attachment.

  11. Click Save.

    Caution: To add the attachment as a reference, you must save the request.
