Timeline tab list all the projects that are included in the program and collectively displays the time line, health, progress, and milestones information.
Viewing Timeline and Progress
Timelines for the program and its contents including projects, proposals, and assets are visible.
By default, only timelines of active contents are shown. If you want to see timelines of the program's closed contents, check the Include Closed checkbox.
Program start date = earliest project start date
Program finish date = latest project finish date
Program Progress = Sum of (Project Scheduled Effort * Percent Complete) / Sum of Project Scheduled Effort
Project start date = Schedule start date of project work plan root task
Project finish date = Schedule finish date of project work plan root task
project progress = percent complete of project work plan root task
- Open the program and go to the Timeline tab.
- Click Add Milestone.
Fill the following fields in the Add Milestone window.
Field (*Required) Description *Name Name of the milestone *Type Type of the milestone *Planned finish date Planned finish date of the milestone Actual finish date Actual finish date of the milestone *Status Status of the milestone Owners
Owners of the milestone
A milestone can have up to 20 owners.
Click Add. The program milestone is added.
If you want to add more than one milestone, click Add more to continue adding.
- Put your cursor over the program milestone you want to edit.
- Click the edit icon in the upper right corner to open the Edit Milestone window.
- Edit the program milestone information as you want.
Click Done to save the changes and close the window.
To delete the milestone, click Delete.
