Migrate PPM to on-premises
This section provides instructions on how to migrate PPM from SaaS to on-premises. It's relevant only when you are planning to run PPM on-premises.
Note: Activities marked with * indicate that customer resources are required. You should make sure that the resources are available for the activity.
Determine migration prerequisites
Determining migration prerequisites is an important initial step to successfully migrate a PPM SaaS production instance to on-premises. The prerequisites vary from customer to customer depending on the implementation and other infrastructure requirements.
The following is a typical list of prerequisites that should be considered:

Production migration run
The production migration run includes the following tasks:

*Work with PS and Micro Focus SaaS to perform the production migration by importing your production PPM file system and database to on-premises production instance.
- Micro Focus SaaS notifies customer of the production service shutdown and creates the file system and database export archives. If required, Micro Focus SaaS prepares additional archives for Document Management.
- Micro Focus SaaS prepares the production archives on an FTP site for you to download.
- Work with PS to download the archives and create the on-premises production instance.
- PS troubleshoots issues by logging production down tickets with customer services.
- *Work with PS to perform requisite validation by testing the configurations, process flows, integrations, and customizations. Micro Focus SaaS will assist where needed.
- *Copy DEV and TEST instances from the production instances.
