Because PPM is extremely flexible, you can configure it to meet the demands of your organization. Your configuration choices can improve user load distribution, transaction capacity, and system performance. The degree of improvement depends on many factors, including available resources.

PPM configurations require the following:

Client	Any number of client browsers
Application Server	One or more middle-tier J2EE servers
Database	A single Oracle relational database
