Compare MS SQL Server 7 Environments Report

Use the Compare MS SQL Server 7 Environments report to compare the data model of two SQL Server Version 7 databases. The report can compare tables, views, procedures, and triggers. You can specify a unique filter for each category. Users can either view all the objects in the category along with their associated attributes, or view only the objects and attributes that differ. To run the report, you must define an environment or application code for each PPM database schema.

To run the Compare MS SQL Server 7 Environments report, you must have a Deployment Management license.

Comparison Name

Type a unique name for the report (200 characters maximum).

*Reference Environment

Select a reference environment, the first environment, from the environments available on your PPM instance.

*Compared Environment

Select the second environment from the environments available on your PPM instance.

Reference AppCode

Select an application code to be used to override the parameters for the reference environment from the application codes available on your PPM instance.

Compared AppCode

Select an application code to be used to override the parameters for the compared environment from the application codes available on your PPM instance.

Only Report Differences

Option to show only the differences between the two environments.

Compare Tables

Option to compare tables.

Table Filter

Specify a table. Type any alphanumeric string (up to 200 characters in length).

Compare Views

Option to compare views.

View Filter

Specify a view. Type any alphanumeric string (up to 200 characters in length).

Compare Procedures

Option to compare procedures.

Procedure Filter

Specify a procedure. Type any alphanumeric string (up to 200 characters in length).

Compare Triggers

Option to compare triggers.

Trigger Filter

Specify a trigger. Type any alphanumeric string (up to 200 characters in length).
