View active workflow steps on the Request Search Results page

The Request Search Results page provides a hierarchical presentation of active workflow steps for requests, displayed in the Active Workflow Step column.

Note: The Active Workflow Step column is available on the Request Search Results page only when it is selected to display on the Request Search Results page. For details, see Conduct simple request searches.

In the Active Workflow Step column, the top layer workflow step is displayed first, followed by lower-level workflow steps.

For example, for request 30190, the value of the Active Workflow Step column is:

Serial_Sub_Sub_WF; PPM - Plan; Create Detailed Project Definition

The order of these workflow steps shows that:

  • PPM - Plan is a second-level workflow step subordinate to the top-level workflow step Serial_Sub_Sub_WF.
  • Create Detailed Project Definition is a third-level workflow step subordinate to the second-level workflow step PPM - Plan.

Tip: The workflow step hierarchy is also presented in the Status tab (section) on the request detail page. For details, see Status section (tab).
