Configure timeouts for workflow steps
Timeouts determine how long a workflow step can remain eligible before generating an error. You can the Timeout tab in the Workflow Step window to set a timeout for the workflow step.
To set timeouts for a workflow step:

From the Workbench shortcut bar, select Configuration > Workflows.

Open a workflow.

In the Workflow window, click the Layout tab.

Right-click a workflow step, and then click Edit on the shortcut menu.

In the Workflow Step window, click the Timeout tab.

Configure the timeout as follows:

Use Workflow Step Source. This setting determines the timeout for the workflow step. The Timeout and Interval fields are disabled.

Specific Value. You can type a timeout value for the workflow step based on the Timeout Type field value.

Click Apply.
