Overview of Adding Work Item Filter Fields

The following major steps are required to add a filter field to the work item filters:

• Determine the information described in Prerequisites.

• Add the new filter field to the work item filters by editing the TMG Configurable Filters request type. See Adda New Filter Field to the Work Item Filters.

• Edit the appropriate SQL validation for the work item filter from the database. The Time Management SQL validations are predefined data and some of them cannot be edited from the PPM Workbench. See Edit an SQL Validation.

• Update the database. See Updating the Database Table.
