Reports

Use a set of predefined reports to view the current status of your PPM data.

Tip: Within the application, the term "report" has multiple meanings based on its context. You can create and submit a "report" that is actually a query. In response to this query, the application provides a "report" that is actually the result of the query.

Available reports

The following types of reports are available:

Report	Description
Preconfigured reports	These reports are in HTML format. They come with the product, and are ready for use if you have the required access grants and licenses. For details, see Preconfigured reports.
Custom reports	Configured by admins to fit specific business needs, these reports can be generated and submitted once set up by your admin. Custom reports are available in the following formats: HTML Word Excel PowerPoint For details, see Report types.
Excel reports for Operational Reporting	The Excel version of the Operational Reporting that enables you to provide rich, interactive reports on PPM data. For details, see Use Excel reports for Operational Reporting.
Vertica report	Generate reports and dashboards in real time by connecting your Business Intelligence solution to Vertica data warehouse. Vertica for PPM

Report categories

Reports are categorized into the following groups. If your admin creates custom reports, they can be found in these categories.

Report category	Description
Administrative Reports	These reports focus on administrative tasks and are available to users with different licenses (depending on the report). Also included in this category are reports related to the PPM Open Interface. For more information about these reports, see Open interface reference.
Deployment Management Reports	These reports are available to users with a Deployment Management application license.
Demand Management Reports	These reports are available to users with a Demand Management application license.
Financial management reports	Financial Management reports are available to users with different licenses (depending on the report). These reports appear in multiple categories and are described in Project Management Reports.
Portfolio Management reports	These reports are available to users with a Portfolio Management application license.
Program management reports	No PPM-supplied reports are provided for Program Management. However, this category is provided as a place to organize your custom program management reports.
Project Management Reports	These reports are available to users with a Project Management application license.
Resource management reports	These reports are available to users with different licenses (depending on the report). These reports appear in multiple categories and are described in Administrative Reports and Time Management Reports.
Time Management Reports	These reports are available to users with a Time Management application license.
Extension	These reports are available to users with the applicable Deployment Management Extension license. Extension-related reports are included in the relevant PPM extensions and migrators documentation.
PPM Operational	These reports are Excel reports provided for Operational Reporting. Operational-related reports are included in Run Excel Reports.
