Preserving External Predecessors

In Microsoft Project-controlled or shared control synchronization mode, you can decide whether or not the existing external predecessors of work plan tasks in Project Management projects are preserved after synchronization from Microsoft Project.

To do so,

1. Open the project from PPM.
2. Click Settings to go to the Project Settings page.
3. Click Microsoft Project Integration.

4. Scroll to the bottom, and in the External Predecessors section, select or deselect the checkbox Preserve existing external predecessors in this project when the work plan is synchronized from Microsoft Project.

   By default, this checkbox is selected. The existing external predecessors in the project are preserved after synchronization.

5. Click Save or Done.
