What's new
The following new features and enhancements are introduced in 25.4.

What-if Analysis enhancements
The following enhancements are added to What-if Analysis. For details, see Configure widgets.

You can now configure the forecast duration from one to three years ahead. When you create a template, there is now a section called Configure Forecast Cost Duration. Click Set Number of Forecast Years and select the desired forecast duration (1, 2, or 3 years). The forecast cost for the selected duration displays the total cost defined for the corresponding years in the projects added to the portfolio. |
| Forecast Cost options | After a scenario is created, you can choose to display Whole of Life Cost (Projected Cost), as well as Current Financial Year, Next Financial Year, and Next Financial Year +1. |
| Scenario creation |
When creating a scenario, you can now add resource pools. After a scenario is created, you can edit the scenario name and modify its associated resource pools. Within the scenario, click Edit and make the necessary changes. |
Demand Management enhancements
The application parameter ALLOW_SAVE_REQUEST_DRAFT defines whether users can save and delete drafts. This is now enhanced by a new setting in Workbench > User Access > Delete Draft. Specify which users are allowed to delete drafts, according to request type. For details, see Manage requests.
Administration enhancements
The following enhancements are added to the Administration module.
| Security enhancement |
For enhanced security, you can now use a new server parameter, dashboard.Browser-Cache. By default the parameter is set to true, and dashboard pages are cached. If you set it to false, the browser does not cache dashboard pages. For details, see Server parameters. |
| Browse server files displayed | You can now edit the application parameter LIMIT_OF_BROWSE_SERVER_FILES, to increase the number of files displayed in the Support task > Browse Server Files log. For details, see Download and upload server files. |
| Create PFM proposal | When creating a new PFM proposal in the Dashboard, you can now make the Portfolio field mandatory. This is defined in Workbench > Status Dependencies. For details, see Configure request field status dependencies. |
| Staffing Profile UI | By default, the staffing profile page displays the new UI. To display the legacy view by default, modify the application parameter FORCE_STAFFING_PROFILE_LEGACY_VIEW to true. For details, see Server parameters. |
REST API enhancements
When you update a cost rule using the REST web service, the audit log now contains update details.
