User Flow
The typical flow of this integration is as follows:

A PPM administrator configures the View Project Quality integration solution.
Before project managers can use the integration, PPM administrator needs to configure the View Project Quality integration solution, including:

Identifying whether there is business needs for integration with OpenText Application Quality Management and configure Project Types accordingly

Registering OpenText Application Quality Management instances. For details, see Register OpenText Application Quality Management instances

Enabling and scheduling the QC Integration Sync KPI Service. For details, see Enable and schedule the QC Integration Sync KPI Service.

A project manager initiates a project in OpenText PPM by using a project type that contains the QC/ALM Release Information field section, and provides deliverables to all the assigned teams. For details, see Configure project types.

Based on the deliverables, business analysts, development managers, and QA managers build milestones using Project Planning and Tracking (PPT) in OpenText Application Quality Management.

A release manager creates a corresponding release in ALM and defines key performance indicators (KPIs) for milestones and releases.

The project manager updates the OpenText PPM project by linking it to the corresponding OpenText Application Quality Management release on the Project Details page.

OpenText Application Quality Management tracks release progress against specific milestones, with KPI matrices passed back to OpenText PPM to be included in the overall project health status.
