Install Autopass license key file and view license usage

This topic describes how to install or remove a license key, and view license usage from the standard interface.

Prerequisites

To install a license key and view license usage, you must have both of the following:

  • The Configuration license

  • The Sys Admin: Server Tools: Execute Admin Tools access grant

Install an Autopass license key file

This section provides details on how to install a license key file.

To install an Autopass license key file:

  1. Obtain and save the license file somewhere on your computer.

    For information about obtaining an Autopass license, see Generate Autopass license.

  2. Log in to PPM.

  3. From the masthead, select the Administration button .
  4. From the Administration menu, select Sys Admin > Licenses.

  5. On the Licenses page, click Choose File to locate the license file you saved, and then click Install.

    The license file is installed and becomes effective right away, with a message popping up showing how many licenses are installed.

    There is no need to stop and restart the PPM Server for the license to become effective.

To remove a license key:

  1. On the Licenses page, locate the target license key to remove.

  2. In the corresponding Delete column, click Delete.
