kConfig.sh

The kConfig.sh script launches the server configuration tool. Because you cannot use kConfig.sh to update parameters in a cluster node (that is, anything that comes after an @node), we recommend that, for a server cluster environment, you use a text editor to edit (or add) parameter values directly in the server.conf file, or use the Administration Console to modify parameter values. Regardless of how you modify configuration parameters, you must run the kUpdateHtml.sh script (see kUpdateHtml.sh) afterward to implement your changes.

  • On a Windows system, run the script as follows:

    • To run the script in console mode:

      ash ./kConfig.sh -console
    • To run the script in graphic mode:

      ash ./kConfig.sh -swing
  • On a UNIX system, run the script as follows:

    • To run the script in console mode:

      sh ./kConfig.sh -console
    • To run the script in graphic mode:

      sh ./kConfig.sh -swing

Note: Starting from PPM version 9.20, you can no longer use this tool to migrate DMS. To migrate your DMS, use the DMS Configuration tool from the Administration Console instead.
