Planning a Portfolio by What-if Analysis

A portfolio usually includes all investment candidates of an organization. As a portfolio manager, you need to select from these candidates the ones that maximize the organization’s business strategy within the budget or resources limit.

PPM provides the what-if analysis tool to help you foresee what happens if you invest on different combinations of contents. As a result of what-if analysis, you can better decide on an optimal scenario which serves as the guideline of portfolio planning.

To use what-if analysis for your portfolio:

  1. Open your portfolio.
  2. Click What-if Analysis in the top-right corner. The Scenario List page opens filtering the scenarios that are created for the portfolio.

If you do not create any scenario for the portfolio yet, click Create to start the what-if analysis journey.

For details of what-if analysis, see What-if Analysis.
